Internet Explorer Pages Opening Blank or Not Properly

Problem Description:
Internet Explorer will sometimes start showing web pages as blank screens even for websites that you know are up and running. Or at times the page may render only partially or the graphics or the lay-out of the page may be messed up in the Internet Explorer window.
Affected Products:
Internet Explorer for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista and Windows XP. Internet Explorer for Mac Operating System. Applies to Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and beyond.
Cause of the Problem:
  • Conflict with files in Browser Cache.
  • Web page not compatible with the version of Internet Explorer installed.
  • Windows Hardware acceleration may be interfering with page rendering.
Instructions for Fixing the Blank Page Problem in IE :
Step 1 : Clear up Internet Explorer Cache
  1. Open Internet Explorer Tool Menu and under it select Internet Options.
  2. Under Browsing history, click Delete.
  3. Select Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History.
  4. Do not select Form data, or Favorite Website Data, or Passwords.
  5. Click Delete.
Step 2 : Check if Web Page is Compatible with IE
  1. Some websites may have been designed for earlier versions of Internet Explorer. Switch to Compatibility View and then see whether the video plays.
  2. Tap or click the Tools button Tools and then tap or click Compatibility View settings.
  3. Under Add this website, enter the URL of the site you want to add to the list and then tap or click Add.
  4. Try opening the website, if the problem is not fixed go to Step 3.
Step 3 : Turn off Hardware Acceleration
  1. Hardware acceleration uses your PC's graphics processor to speed up video and image rendering such as video streaming or online gaming.
  2. Tap or click the Tools button Tools and then tap or click Internet options. On the Advanced tab, select Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering.
  3. Click OK and then restart Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect. If the problem is not fixed, then you need help from a certified technician.
