- Enhanced Protected Mode helps protect your computer from malware attacks. When this setting is turned on, only Add-ons and toolbars that are compatible with Enhanced Protected Mode will run. You'll be notified if an add-on is incompatible.
- Tap or click the Tools button and then tap or click Internet options.
- On the Advanced tab, under Security, select the Enable Enhanced Protected Mode check box and then tap or click OK.
- Restart your PC for this setting takes effect. And check if your problem has been fixed. If not, go to Step 3.
- If you have not been able to remove the add-on or the delete add-on button is grayed out, then most likely your computer is infected.
- If you do not have a paid version of Antivirus software, install Microsoft's free version, Microsoft Security Essentials at http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx.
- This is a useful, free program and can detect most commonly found viruses.
- Download and Install it. If you are not familiar with how to Scan using Antivirus software you probably need help from a qualified technician.
