Problem Description:
Sometimes Microsoft Office system files may get corrupted. When this happens users are unable to open some or any of the Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook. In such a scenario, the best option is to uninstall Microsoft Office completely and then reinstall it. You may receive an error stating "We're sorry, Office couldn't be uninstalled.

Instructions for Uninstalling Microsoft Office :
Step 1 : Try Windows Add or Remove Applet to Uninstall Office
  1. First try using the Windows Control Panel applet to install and uninstall and repair programs.
  2. Search for Add or Remove program in the Search Bar in the Start Button of Windows.
  3. Open the Add or Remove program.
  4. Find the Microsoft Office version, Right Click and Select Uninstall.
  5. If Un-installation does not work, go to Step 2.
Step 2 : Use Microsoft Fixit Utility
  1. Microsoft Fix It is a utility program that is designed to automatically diagnose and fix problems.
  2. Download the Microsoft Fix It from http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9815935 exit all Microsoft Office programs and run the Fix It.
  3. Fix it will ask if you’d like to Apply the fix or Skip the fix and continue troubleshooting. To uninstall Office, select Apply this fix.
