Microsoft Office Installation Error

Problem Description:
When installing one of the newer versions of Office such as Office 2013, you get an error message saying "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now when installing Office". There could be an issue with the Microsoft Account Services that is preventing you from signing into your account.
Affected Products:
Microsoft Office 2013; Microsoft Office 2010; Microsoft Office 2007; Microsoft Office 2003.
Cause of the Problem:
  • Issue with Microsoft Account services
  • Cookies and internet browsing history
Instructions for Fixing Microsoft Office Installation Error :
Step 1 : Sign out from Microsoft Account and Retry
  1. Sign out of all of your Microsoft Accounts.
  2. Close all Internet Explorer or any other Browser you use.
  3. Open the browser and Go to http://account.live.com.
  4. If you see a sign-in page, you are already signed out of your Microsoft Account. Install Office again.
  5. If you see your account summary, you are signed in. Click Sign out.
  6. Try installing Office again. If this fails to correct the problem, continue on to the next step.
Step 2 : Clear Cookies and Browsing History
  1. Select Tools > Internet Options. See image: Tools > Internet Options.
  2. In the General tab under Browsing History choose Delete. See image: Browsing History > Delete.
  3. In the Delete menu, un-check Preserve Favorites Data and check Cookies and Website Data, then click Delete.
  4. Restart your browser and try installing again.
  5. If clearing your Cookies did not resolve the issue, go to Step 3.
Step 3 : Install in Private Browser Session
  1. InPrivate Browsing helps prevent your browsing history, temporary Internet files, form data, cookies, and user names and passwords from being retained by the browser.
  2. To start an InPrivate Browsing session: Go to the Tools menu and select Safety > InPrivate Browsing. See image: InPrivate Browsing.
  3. Use the InPrivate Browsing window to install Office.
