How to Reset Windows 8 or Windows 8.1

Problem Description:
If you're having problems with your PC, that cannot be fixed, one option is take back your Windows to an earlier instance. This should be done only for the most complicated problems that you have been unable to fix. Windows offers 3 different options to go back : Refresh, Restore, or Reset. You should use Windows Reset only after you have tried Windows Refresh and Restore.

Instructions to Reset Windows :
Step 1 : Understanding Windows Reset
  1. Windows Reset basically takes your computer back to the factory settings when you first purchased your PC. So you want to use this option only as a last resort.
  2. When you Reset Windows, Windows is reinstalled, all personal files and settings are deleted, and PC settings are changed to default settings.
  3. You get to keep only those apps that came with your PC. All other apps and applications that you may have purchased are deleted.
  4. So before you Reset Windows, make sure you have created a backup for all of your data and files. And also have backup of programs that you have purchased.
Step 2 : Resetting Windows
  1. Use the following steps to reset your Windows 8.
  2. Open Window and Choose the Option screen.
  3. On the Choose an option window, click Troubleshoot.
  4. Click Reset your PC.
  5. Read and respond to any screens that open. Wait while Windows resets your computer.
  6. This might take awhile, and your computer will restart.
