Microsoft Account Hacked or Blocked

Problem Description:
Microsoft Account is the combination of an email address and a password that you use to sign in to services like Outlook.com, OneDrive, Windows Phone, or Xbox LIVE. Microsoft Account can be hacked if you have setup a password that is easy to break or are not careful while using your computer in public places.
Affected Products:
Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows RT and older versions of Windows
Cause of the Problem:
  • Microsoft Account password that is easy to break.
  • Careless use of Windows in public places such as airports or coffee shops
Instructions to Recover Hacked Microsoft Account :
Step 1 : Confirm if Account Hacked
  1. There are two ways to know for sure that your account has been hacked.
  2. If you cannot log into your Microsoft Account, and you are sure you are using the right user name and password, it means someone has hacked into your account and changed its password.
  3. The other way is if you see activity on your Microsoft Account that is clearly not initiated by you. This can be emails sent from your account or logins at times you know for sure you were not accessing the account.
Step 2 : Recover Hacked Account
  1. If you cannot sign into your Microsoft Account, Microsoft gives you an option to recover your account.
  2. Select “I think someone else is using my Microsoft Account”
  3. Once you select this option, follow the instructions on the Screen to recover your Hacked Account.
Step 3 : Make your Account More Secure
  1. Adding security info to your account can make it easier to recover your account if someone else takes control of it, or you forget your password.
  2. Sign in to your Microsoft account, and go to the Security & password page. Under Security info helps keep your account secure, follow the instructions to add or update different types of security info.
  3. Activate Microsoft's 2-Step Authentication system. Two-step verification uses two ways to verify your identity whenever you sign in to your Microsoft account: Your password and an extra security code. If you turn on two-step verification, you'll see an extra page every time you sign in on a device that isn't trusted.
If above steps did not help fix your problem, you need assistance from a certified technician. Please call GuruAid at 1  855  423  6794.
