Problem Description:
You may get the error message "We're sorry, something went wrong and we can't do this for you right now. Please try again later. (0x80070005)". This often happens if you are not logged in as an Administrator and are trying to activate Microsoft Office.
Affected Products:
Microsoft Office 2013; Microsoft Office 2010; Microsoft Office 2007; Microsoft Office 2003.

Instructions to Fix Activation Error :
Step 1 : Activation for Windows 8
  1. For Windows 8, Close all Office programs, and go to the Windows Start screen.
  2. Right-click any Office program icon, like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, and click Run as administrator.
  3. Follow the activation steps.
Step 2 : Activation for Windows 7
  1. For Windows 7, Close all Office programs.
  2. Right-click any Office programs, like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, and click Run as administrator.
  3. Follow the activation steps.
Step 3 : Install the Latest Version of Office
  1. This problem is possibly due to a bug in Microsoft Office that has been resolved in the latest release of Office.
  2. To install the latest release of Office, go to the http://www.office.com/setup.
  3. You need to enter the product key of the Office you have purchased. On your account page, click Install. And then click Run.
  4. If this does not fix the activation problem, you need help from a certified technician.
